BRAC0000: Broadmead Residents Association Archives, Collection Management

The current draft of the collections of the Broadmead Resident Association Archives is presented here as a Google Sheet in the window below. Note that this approach to collection management is a work in progress in its initial stages. The collections are in the process of being refined with descriptions and links to their catalog entries. As collections are processed and scanned the following table will be updated.

Note that the word "archives" (with an "s") can function as both a singular and a plural noun in English. As a Singular Noun: You can say "an archives" (e.g., "The university built an archives on the North Campus"). In professional, historical, and North American institutional contexts, "archives" with the "s" is often treated as a singular collective noun representing one single facility or body of records. As a Plural Noun: It acts as a traditional plural when talking about multiple distinct collections or repositories (e.g., "The city’s various archives contain conflicting reports"). The Alternative ("Archive"): The singular form archive without the "s" is also widely used, especially outside of North American professional archival circles, to mean a single collection or a digital storage folder.
